OSA வரலாறு
OSA History
We are old students of Mahajana College situated at Tellippalai, Jaffna Peninsula, in Sri Lanka have formed an association to render assistance for the general wellbeing of our college and act as a focal point for old students, teachers and their families and descendants to get together and generate bonding among them.
The association function under a written constitution and the executive committee is elected every two years. We stage annually four events Mahajana Poojah held on Good Friday, Open Day and Get-together field events, Mahajana Maalai (Musical) event stage managed and Mahajana Night Dinner and Dance. All are welcomed to join us and participate in our events.
மகாஜன பழைய மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் தொடக்கம்.
திரு (அமரர்) கனகசபாபதி அவர்கள் அதிபராக இருந்த 1977 இல் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தில் ஒரு பழைய மாணவர் சங்கம் தொடங்கும் முயற்சி நடந்து வெற்றி பெறவில்லை. ஆனால் 1987 இல் திரு நா சிறி கெங்காதரன் பின்வருவோரை அழைத்து நடாத்திய கூட்டத்திலேயே சங்கம் தொடங்குவதான தீர்மானம் எடுக்கப்பட்டது.
அதனை தொடர்ந்து பல ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டங்களுக்குப் பின்பாக 1987 ஒக்டோபர் மாதம் 25ம் திகதி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பல பழைய மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்ட ஒன்றுகூடல் (மதிய போசன விருந்து) நடைபெற்றது. அதனை தொடர்ந்து வைத்திய கலாநிதி நவரத்தினம் தலைமையில் நடந்த கூட்டத்தில் உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக "மகாஜன பழைய மாணவர் சங்கம், ஐக்கிய இராச்சியம்" தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
வைத்திய கலாநிதி நவரத்தினம் தலைமையில் ஒரு நிர்வாக சபை தெரிவானது.
